Tombow Marker Review

Monday, November 3, 2014
by Wendell Lee

A set of Tombow markers opens up a wide variety of options for paper crafters. With a nice brush tip as well as a fine tip, these markers are perfect both for large areas and detailed work. One customer recently told us that her Tombow markers have lasted many years while another brand of markers, purchased from a leading stamp company, dried out in less than a year. Although we offer them as individual markers, those who invest in the whole set will be glad they did.

Time Has a Way

by Jonathan Lee

Several years ago, Anita wrote "Time has a way" in memory of her niece who died at 16 months. Later, we created a stamp with the verse on it and it has been a good seller. This particular card combines the verse with a heart doily and one of our new watch faces. It's simple card to make, and shows others that you remember.

Spun Silk Cardstock Review

Wednesday, October 22, 2014
by Wendell Lee

With a white 'web' fused onto metallic cardstock, Spun Silk --also known as Twist Paper-- is a beautiful, one-of-a-kind paper! You'll love the texture and it's perfect for backgrounds and layering.

Don't need gold or silver? Then make it the color of your choice! Simply rub an ink pad directly across the paper, using multiple colors as desired and blending them with a paper towel.

On this card sample, a strip of gold Spun Silk was colored with ink pads from a Woodgrain Cat's Eye Queue, resulting in eye-catching autumn colors that match well with the yellow and brown card.

Wink of Stella Review

Wednesday, October 15, 2014
by Wendell Lee

Have you ever used a "Wink of Stella" brush marker?

Jon's Aunt Barbara was visiting when we were trying out the first samples we received and she got excited the moment I showed the markers to her. "Wow! I like them!" she exclaimed as she began coloring the image I had stamped for her. The light wasn't the best where she was working and not until she finished the picture did she realize that the ink contained glitter. Was she ever excited then! She could hardly quit using the markers and would have stayed much longer had it not been for another appointment she needed to meet.
